The police are carrying out a review of the hours and staffing ofAinsdale Police Station. A petition has been set up to call upon the ChiefConstable to dismiss any suggestion of reduced hours or reduced policestaff at Ainsdale Police Station. Click here to sign our petition. Update (May 2009): A big thank you to those who signed my recent petition regarding the future of Ainsdale police station. As a direct result of such community comments, I have received the good news from Chief Superintendent Ian Pilling that the operating hours of the police station are to be extended. For a trial period, Ainsdale police station will now be open Wednesday evening, Friday evening and Saturday morning. The counter will be staffed by uniformed officers who will be ready to deal with residents' enquiries.
